Dr John Elder has practised in Sydney since 1983, specialising in cataract and refractive surgery.
​
He is a graduate of Sydney University and set up the first Ophthalmic Day Surgery in Australia after 10 years further experience in the UK and USA.
​
Dr Elder is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and a Foundation Member of the Australian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
​
He participates in teaching and mentoring the latest techniques in cataract surgery.
​
Dr Elder is actively involved with ophthalmologist training in Developing Countries. His passionate goal is to improve the sight of all Australians.
